In early July I spent some time at Lake O'Hara. This year the weather was a litle more typical of the area. It seemed like everytime I got half way into a sketch a storm would roll in and I would have to scurry like a Marmot into a cave. I actually spent a nice chunk of time sitting about two feet from this little Marmot waiting out a storm. It was useful to get some different atmosphere.
In August I was in Ontario an Michigan. I painted on the South Shore of Lake Superior, in Whitefish Bay, where The Edmund Fitzgerald went down. I was also on Manitoulin Island and in Tobermoray. I love our country and all the different landscape challenges it offers. It's my goal to eventually see and capture it all.
In January I am planning on skiing into Lake O'Hara and doing some winter work. I can't wait!
